Your job changed. Your skills didn't disappear.

AI is changing work one task at a time, so The New Trade is building retraining that gets tested before it asks for your evenings.

Who tests the training before you do?

Most retraining starts with guesses about which skills matter and how working people learn them. Then it tests those guesses on the people it is meant to serve. You give up evenings, money, or both to find out whether the course works. A course can be well meant and still be built wrong. Your time should not be the cost of someone else's test run.

Test the program before a person takes it.

We use a research loop to find weak spots before they reach you.

  1. Spot the job.

We find jobs where AI is changing the tasks.

  2. Design the program.

We build practical retraining for the workers in those jobs.

  3. Build the personas.

We create AI stand-ins based on the workers the program is for.

  4. Run the program.

The personas work through the lessons, assignments, and schedule.

  5. Revise and run again.

We fix what fails and test the revised program.

  6. Publish what we learn.

We share the run report, including what did not work.

Only after that does a real person take the program. Tested before you take it.

This is how retraining should work.

Practical training that respects your time

Once a program exists, our intent is for you to learn practical skills for a real job. The program should respect the experience you already have. We intend to make the schedule workable for people with jobs and families, with evenings in mind. Our goal is for you to receive a program that has already been tested and revised. You should also get the run report, so you can judge our work before you sign up.

The first program's price and schedule are not set. We'll publish it when we know.

Fund the test before the class

Workforce funding often pays for a course before anyone knows whether it works. Funding now can build the testing stage that retraining needs. Your support would fund the research loop and public run reports, including the parts that fail. We have no results yet, so we will show you the work rather than promise outcomes.
